If you have loose skin or abdominal muscles, it can result in wrinkled, sagging tissue and bulging of the stomach.
Tummy tuck surgery, or abdominoplasty, is the only way to predictably and effectively treat these conditions.
At The Center for Cosmetic Medicine, plastic surgeon Stuart Baker can perform your tummy tuck surgery and produce beautiful results.

Candidates for Tummy Tuck
Candidates for the tummy tuck procedure should be in good health, not smoke (or be willing to quit for a period of time), and have realistic goals in mind. The procedure is often performed on patients that have experienced dramatic weight loss. The main issues that abdominoplasty can address include:
- Excess skin
- Loose abdominal muscles
- Bulging of the abdominal wall
A tummy tuck procedure isn't the most suitable treatment for excess fat. If this is a concern, we can perform liposuction alone or in conjunction with your tummy tuck. Liposuction uses a cannula to suction fat out of the abdominal area, and can further contour the body for patients that have met their weight loss goals.

Tummy Tuck Side Effects
The most common side effects of this procedure include discomfort, swelling, bruising, itching, and tightness of the skin. We will prescribe pain medication to reduce discomfort, and patients are advised to rest as much as possible in the days after surgery to reduce the severity of other side effects. Most patients feel much better two weeks after surgery, though it may take two or three months to completely recover.
